Hello Joy Strang things do happen like two people having the same name. It is nice that you two are friends. I have a strange one a person 17 miles from me has that same name that I have. Arthur Leamon we both have and my dad had the same name. We are 17 miles apart but have never meet. I don't know if we are even related some in the family say we are their are many of them in that city just like my side of the family. Butch

Life is full of interesting surprises my friend and it's good that the two of you became friends and still remain friends to this day. Its odd that there was a clipping of your dad's obituary with your friends Joys mom. You never know how or why people do things like this, hey they could of known each other but yet know one really knows.  Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

Hi Joy thanks for taking me further with this interesting post I don't know about messages from the grave, but, I do know that when I was 20 I found out about my half brother. I always thought it was my cousin, 'cause that's how our families said it was. But, it wasn't. Turns out that my cousin was really my half brother. Once, when I was a teenager, I pointed out to my mom that a picture of my cousin looked a lot like my dad. My mom was incensed and told me never to say such a thing as it would make my aunt and uncle sad. So, I let it go. Years later, at a funeral, an older woman came up to me and spilled the beans on my half brother. This time when I confronted my mom, she couldn't deny that he was the son of my father with another woman. And, she swore me to secrecy. That lasted for 20 years. When my cousin found out he was my half brother he called me up to ask me how I could keep this secret. So, long story short, we resolved the issue and moved on as brothers. Life is what we make it. I've always worried that someday a person I don't recognize would come up to me and begin a story with: "Hi Dad"... Made me think of this one... The Who - "Who are you" woke up in a Soho doorway A policeman knew my name He said you can go sleep at home tonight If you can get up and walk away I staggered back to the underground And the breeze blew back my hair I remember throwin' punches around And preachin' from my chair Well, who are you? (who are you? who, who, who, who?) I really wanna know (who are you? who, who, who, who?) Tell me, who are you? (who are you? who, who, who, who?) 'Cause I really wanna know (who are you? who, who, who, who?) hhhhmmmm,,,  (\/)y conception of this thing/process called Death is an opinion of observation, contemplation, and of consciousness of the /-/igher self. Nothing escape*z it, not even the BIG Picture, least gravity. When that reality happen*z to each of Us who is first to know ? Even a dead battery can't tell You it*z dead,,, but"b0b" /8 can.  We all have other/higher live*z from the past and alter reality*z/Universe*z. ][t come*z to all of Us eventually, some sooner, some much much later. Show (\/)e one," just one person" that can guarantee they are going to wake uP ! Very rare one ever contemplate*z that possibility. This raise*z other aspect*z,,, Life After Death, and DRea(\/)))))))))))*z. But,,, those are prospective reality*z for another (\/)o(\/)enT ~ Reading (\/)y 2cent*z worth was taxing enough. Don't go deeper than You can si\/\k.    Good one.

A name doppelganger? Yeah for me there are some of them out there. My dad's family was large, and my grandfather's even larger. So, there are cousins , second cousins, and even third cousins out their with the same name as mine. In such large family's names tend to repeat often. My sister had it worse, her name was often used in the family, hell two of my brothers married women with the same first name as the one she had, and cousins with that name..I won't even get started.

I don't know if I have a doppelganger local enough to me to notice. But I sincerely hope he has been a good man and a nice guy since having an asshole around like me for as long as I was not so nice is plenty enough for one city to deal with but the thought of you being duplicated...… NOW that is something I could sink my teeth into...…. just a shame I'm not that excited about blonds The Hubby

A very good friend of mine passed away three years ago, from diabetes. Whether he knew about it and/or was treating it was unknown to most, even his immediate family. He would have been 50 this year. But I digress... He "checks in on me" at times, and when I get the feeling that he's been around, I always look at the clock. 8:28 most often is the time, either am or pm, and it was the date of his birth. I don't have a Sister from another Mister, nor a Brother from another Mother, but do have a "Dark Twin". The term Dark Twin is a person that is born the same day, same month, and same year as you, but is born 12 hours from your birth time (am or pm), and is of the opposite gender. We truly were like night and day when together; it worried the mutual friends. "Be who you are and say what you feel. Those who matter won't mind, and those who mind won't matter." ~ Dr. Seuss.
