Once It's Over... It's Over... Isn't it... ðŸĪ”

Note : A F F is deleting words in the t.ext. Please be patient.

She was... a perfect view. A woman, I would have been proud... to have draped, over my shoulders. She was standing tall... my height. Her black dress, hugged every subtle curve, of her body. Anyone would notice, her 'better than perfect posture'. You know... the type you'd see, in gymnasts or ballerinas? Her eyes, were deep, brown pools. I could loose myself, in those. I looked away. I was slightly taken aback... when she turned to me and spoke.

"You were here first. Go ahead. I'm in no rush," she smiled.

"Neither am I. You look, as if you're on you're way to somewhere."

"No. Actually... I'm on my way back ... from somewhere," she nodded.

I took a step closer. I put my energy drink and nature bar, on the counter... next to the cashier and reached for my wallet. I guess... I must have created a slight breeze. She looked amused, as she spoke.

"You're wearing the same cologne, I bought for a boyfriend... once."

"Really? He sounds, like a lucky guy!" I replied.

"He was... lucky, for a while," she laughed. "I've moved on. Now... he's just a friend. Someone, I once knew."

The cashier, stood there and watched us. No one else, was in the store. I pulled out my credit card. She spoke again.

"Actually... I just accidentally, ran into him, at a restaurant. It was his birthday. A friend of mine, tried to get us back together. What a mistake. HUGE... mistake!"

"I know what you mean," I replied. You could have just sent him a card, or called him," I tried to make a joke.

"For me... once it's over, it's over. And I'm not into, touching someone, over the phone. I pushed away. He's still pulling," she feathered a stray hair, from her eye brow.

I'd paid. I waited, while she did the same. Reaching into her purse, she pulled out her wallet. "Pump number four."

She paid, then turned and brushed my arm... as she spoke.

"Nice meeting you. I really love ... that cologne. Don't give it up."

Flashing a silken smile, she strut her way out the door. I watched... as she stepped into her car.

Something she said, struck me. Is it possible, to touch someone... over the phone? If I was her 'ex' ... even a phone call from her, might keep me going.

I was halfway to my car, when I realized something. Damm...! I'd forgotten to buy, a Lotto ticket. I trudged back inside. I looked at the clerk, behind the counter and frowned. He looked back at me, grinned a wide grin and spoke.

"Lotto ticket? I didn't want to interrupt."

..............................
So...
Is it possible to build a relationship; to 'touch someone', over the phone?
Is there a second chance, once you've said goodbye?

My usual question: Whatcha y'all havin' for dinner?

Note : A F F is deleting words in the . Please be patient.

I'd say that it is possible to build a relationship over the phone. It's happened to me. I don't know when or if, I might meet that person. I guess we'll see what happens, when that day comes, right? ðŸĪ—

Who comes up with these questions? lol 😁
I've split with someone and then, we tried to give it another shot. It usually, didn't work out for very long. The issues that we had, kept cropping up. Although... in some cases we've remained friends. But it's rare.
Once you say goodbye... you say goodbye. 🙁
My EX and I are cordial to each other. We don't exchange birthday cards or anything. I did text her. She texted me back. 😊

I still have hamburgers left over... So them and potatoes and a salad, sounds like a good idea.😋
How many days in a row can you eat the same meal?

Yes, it's possible to build a relationship over the phone .... but it will only give you the framework. Finishing touches need to be done together in the real world.

I believe in second chances. However, by the time a relationship ends, second, third, fourth, etc chances have already been given.

I had a nice grilled ham n cheese sandwich for lunch. I'll think about dinner when I get hungry again.

Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation bangs on the door forever!

Yes it is possible to "touch someone" over the phone. When you are apart, it quite often the only way. And yes, I have given second chances. All were mistakes except one. And I went to Long Horn for lunch. Supper might be a pork chop and salad- but only if the hunger wolf appears

I guess I feel you can touch someone over the phone. Or text now adays. I spoke to someone the first time after finding out about another friend passing away. His comfort was very valuable at the time. I am glad he offered to chat. He doesn't often talk on the phone as he has a hearing problem but made an exception for me. That was very nice and appreciated.

I am hungry. So thanks for the prompt to go make something to eat. I will probably just have a tuna fish sandwich. I should make a salad but I am craving bread too. LOL . I rushed out the door today and have only had a couple of coffees. LOL

I have to say it is absolutely possible to touch someone over the phone I know I have, maybe not physically but most definitely mentally. That's a great story, as I am with her once you have left you have to stay gone.

Now for dinner, I know you know my menu today, I baked a Turkey over night with stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, steamed peas. And my famous Chocolate Fudge Cake for dessert. I hope your day is a good one and you enjoy a fabulous dinner this evening..

Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

If you couldn't "touch" someone over the phone, there' wouldn't be so many phone calls made to loved ones over the holidays. To build a relationship, I'm sure it's possible through any media, after all, didn't they used to do it through letters prior to the invention of the phone?
I'm one of those, when it's over, it's over. The couple of times I've reconciled have not ended well.
Chinese tonight, sans rice, since I'm doing low carb.

I would have thought that you were a 'second chance' type of girl. But I get your point.
You're lucky to be able to prepare such a great dinner for a mid week treat. I've only had those meals on weekends and special occasions. You're so good to your crew.

Yes, I agree it is possible to touch someone and build a relationship with them over the phone. It sets the foundation and removes any uncertainties or nervousness prior to meeting face-to-face.
Usually by time a relationship ends, a series of chances have been given, so it’s truly over.
Dinner tonight is my favourite ‘spring mix salad’ topped with mushrooms and grated Parmesan cheese.

Yes, it's definitely possible to touch someone over the phone. I had a long distance relationship over the phone for quite a long while before we ever met. It fizzled away about a year ago.

No, once it's over, going back is never a good idea.

Dinner tonight, a cesar salad.

You sure blew that encounter all to hell.... perfect chance to get her number and see her again.... but you messed it up.

Is it possible to build a relationship; to 'touch someone', over the phone? ... No. Only over the phone, only plays havoc with the imagination.

Is there a second chance, once you've said goodbye? ..... If you mean after a breakup? Sure, but a second chance would not be a good idea. Now they've lost all respect for your "Word", and next time you breakup with them, they won't take you seriously.

If you mean with 'that' woman at the cashier line? If you see her again, yes, there can be a second chance to get her into your bed...... but realistically if she is at all attractive, next time you see her she will likely be involved with someone, or dating someone.... some women can only date one at a time.

But my advice on that; give her your number anyway.... regardless if she is involved or dating someone, or some.... doesn't matter.... put your number in her pocket.

The woman at the gas pump [shown picture].... she has really short hair.. so she is involved with someone or married...... but , again, even in that situation, and [were this to take place in real life with you] you like what you see,....give her your number anyway.

Nah... you have a point, but not a good one.
Just cause you see and speak with a woman.. doesn't mean you throw your number at her. Does it? I didn't think it was the thing to do. She was a player...
Yees.. she was fine! But rebound chicks? She was but not for me. Too young. I don't have to spell it out in these 444 words. You can infer.. right? I should have elaborated.
As for the pic.. Come on... I picked one up off the net, to fill my prose. But you knew that...
Yep.. She was a hot woman.. outta my leagues.
Still.. I had fun. Wouldn't you?

Naw.. it wasn't going to happen. It went by to quickly. It was just a slice. You know what I mean. Too quick. It would have come across as too needy if I pressed for a number. Hey... I live in a city of 4.5 million. Other fish.. as they say. I'm not desperate. 👍

Actually Paul, me thinks it can be very exciting - (getting to know each other, either over the phone, via text messaging and even, and esp Skype visits - hey there you get to see each other even though you still can't physically "touch'!) Or when you soo need to "hear somebody" ..... somebody special - it will always be about that very special connection though - that person who stands out, has something .....

Supper - pizza time! I wrote a Blog about this before - I buy the pizza bases and put on my own toppings - and then then top that off with tangy melted cheese ..... greasy fingers! And with pizza , must be red, red wine! And ..... good luck with the Lotto!

..... And always 'hold onto all those sexy thoughts'!

Definitely over the phone is possible. It has worked for me.

For me if I am in a committed relationship then I am of the belief you try to make it work. When its over its over and you can walk away knowing you did everything possible to make it work.

I cant remember what I had for dinner... lol.

When we were younger we were more naÃŊve and idealistic. Now hopefully we know ourselves better and what we can live with and can't.

I dont party, not much of a drinker so no May 24 for me....lol. Just touristy family stuff. Its dark and dreary all weekend so not even yard work is possible. Perhaps bbq tomorrow if there is less rain.

Hope you are enjoying the weekend. Is this the long weekend you guys dont get and take St Jean Baptiste day instead?

If you truly loved him... of course.

Face to face is the best, but I like the phone. Even texting is ok... But you can only get to know someone up to a point. I think....
Right about fixing things... otherwise, what's the point of getting back together? ðŸĪ”
You're such a healthy eater...
I think I have to eat more veggies. Can you live on veggies alone? ðŸ˜ķ

Yep. I hear you. One of my daughters is trying THAT lifestyle. When she comes over she educates me and lectures me and provides me with internet links and literature to read.
Then... I stuff her with bacon potato salad and my BBQ chicken legs and thighs - with my special sauce. She stumbles away from the table smiling. She leaves behind a pile of bones... and her face and fingers are covered in that red sauce I serve.
Then she gives me a dirty look. I just hug her and tell her to take some of the leftovers home.
Do you like BBQ chicken? 🐔🍗😘
I'd cut back on the sauce... on your pieces. ðŸ˜ķ

That's... a good question. If I ever see her again, I can ask her. hmmm....
But ya know... it's all about your metabolism, right? Some people can eat and eat and never gain a pound.
I'm like that. But I also watch my portions. ⌚
I can also add some vinegar to it, put less sugar and turn it into a sweet and sour thingy.
Hey... I'd serve the tofu salad and the fat free cheese cake.
You'd be fine!
I'd give that sugar free thing a whirl. I mean... it's all about those grill marks, anyway. Right? lol 😁
But with where you are - steak must be the treat...! hmmmm... 😍
