trump gives it to Cleta Mitchell up the ass

From the now infamous January 2nd phone call, Cleta Mitchell says:
"why wouldn’t it be in everyone’s best interest get the bottom"

Well Cleta, giving your bottom to trump leads to a less than positive feeling. And with that, you are now not dissimilar to so many others that trump has sadly hastened the demise of

Cleta Mitchell has informed firm management of her decision to resign from Foley & Lardner effective immediately ...Ms. Mitchell concluded that her departure was in the firm’s best interests

No, actually, I don’t believe you have to feel bad for these folks. They’re not being forced at gun-point, or coerced under threat of grievous harm, into doing these things with or for the Cheeto-frosted “genius”. They seem to be perfectly willing to pursue, and indeed in some cases fervently believe in the pursuit of, these whack-job ideas. For some it appears to be belief in future gains (sincerely or cynically), while others seem to have fallen down the rabbit hole of almost-completely-fucked-up interpretations of the world, what’s going on in it, and “some peoples’” supposed intentions or goals.

This particular idgit prez, the Nazi Charlie Chaplin-look-alike, Dub-ya, Kennedy, and I’m sure many other political leaders have all been able to trade on their charisma to get to people to go along with their aims and goals. It’s funny how many of them are reputed to have made you feel like “the only person in the room” when talking to someone in a crowd. However, that’s not a good-enough way to make evaluations of people, or the basis for decisions, at least in my book. But, apparently it has worked many times in the past, and will, again, many times in the future. The whatever-anon-, they’re-going-to-destroy-the-American-dream-, they’re-going-to-take-the-word-Christmas-out-of-the-language-believing I-don’t-know-what-call-such-people who fall for these patently-ridiculous and easily-seen-through arguments are rather the architects or their own misfortunes, aren’t they, though?

The most bizarrely-troubling element surrounding the current “leader” is his long and clear history of being super-self centred. I wrote him off as a joke more than 20 years ago, because you only have to listen to him talk for 5 minutes to see that he knows only the interest of self, and looks at the world entirely from the perspective out his own two eye-holes. Why would anyone truly believe he’d stand up for them? Granted, he might ... but only when there is actually massive benefit to him (I ain’t suggesting nuthin’ about the election-corruption-“investigation” fundraising being about paying his bills... ), hidden or obvious.

The one common denominator I suspect which is at play with people who truly believe this things, based on way-too-many observation opportunities in the last year, is that they don’t read people and/or don’t read situations nearly as well as they think they do. Or, they have huge trust issues with basically everyone else in the society in which they live. For those who know this stuff is garbage but go along with it for whatever benefit they think they’re going to get out of it, well, you can make your own evaluations.

There used to be a time when actions came with consequences. It’s one thing to believe something, but when you attempt to put it into action, that’s when you engender the risk that the outcomes of the enterprise don’t turn out as you would like. For these professionals with careers which could be harmed, or those who could and should be held legally accountable, do they not understand the risks they are taking? Or, has accountability been the true casualty of this sojourn (hopefully only a temporary one?) into what feels like a parallel dimension?

It’s not even an American thing. I don’t live in the country, however, between the political and cultural things stirred up by what’s going on in U.S. politics, along with all of the crap surrounding the virus, we are getting a chance to see what the reflection looks like from holding up a mirror to many societies. Sadly, it does not seem to be an appealing image. The good news is ... there is lots of room for improvement. And, I means lots!

More broadly, and perhaps worryingly, if you can truly believe these arguments presented by what should be considered not-terribly-credible actors, how long should we all have been worried about you, before all of this? That’s kind of a scary thought, though, so perhaps best not to dwell on that one, too much ...

Don't take this the wrong way.. How should we feel for these people?? Sorry for them for being so stupid?? Or feel anger at them for trying to destroy Democracy and lord over us??

You have to remember that if this was 1935 all these people would be wearing brown shirts with Swaztikas on their sleeves.. That is all they are... NAZIs. Well maybe a few are Russian agents working for Putin.
