banning i am on another site called alt, for over a year a few women were banning other women from chat rooms, now these women and ones like them or on citymixx.com , banning women because they dont like them , trust them or think they are fake, there choice, but alt is dead and if this keeps up this site will die, only time i would be upset if a profile was fake if i met that person, internet fake doesnt bother me, just saying my point, if you are stalking someones pics to see if they are real you must be bored signed badest bitch on the site |

I too am on citymixx.com's sister site ALT and I don't think anyone can ban anyone from a local chat room. As far as my understanding is, IF the chat room is one that they started and moderate, then 'Yes' they can, however any of the generic chat rooms or area chat rooms, they cannot. Sorry to hear that you are having issues with some. *hugs*

Bmb, I agree with you completely. My stance with “fake” profiles is more of a so what attitude. If someone wants to create a different identity online to make their self feel better, then why judge? But two types of fakes do bother me. The person who creates multiple profiles to further an agenda beyond having fun is the type of person that should be banned. We’ve all seen those ones. Further making things ironic are the people who have fake profiles simply to harass the other so-called fakes. Becoming the thing you supposedly hate is not a good thing. The other type of fake that has been given a pop cultural name of “catfish” are even more worrisome. They seek out people for either financial gain or emotional manipulation. And like you said, the ones who want to meet despite not looking at all like who they are supposed to represent are just plain mental. I’ve been On the receiving end of a fake profile that was very popular here. The only reason she confessed was due to my accidentally busting her without realizing it. She gave her reasons why she did it and while I tried to accept it I found I couldn’t. Because I fell for someone who didn’t exist in my head anymore. Her thoughts and feelings were genuine but her name and face were of a stranger to me. Also the fact that she felt like she couldn’t trust me with her truth stung. But that’s in the past. Also to the commenter above talking about banning, it’s pretty clear the interest group chat rooms are implied. The public rooms on both sites wouldn’t be a part of the banning discussion.
